Weekend

weekendphoto

My weekend actually started a bit early, Felix stayed home with me and Max on the Thursday, since we had a dental appointment for him – and conveniently also a vaccine appointment for Max the same day! First, we went over to our doctor to get Max his shots (he’s a month late to get them since we had to cancel the first appointment due to chickenpox). Felix was such a sweetheart and held Max’s hand through it all, telling him “it’s not that bad Lille, it’ll be over soon”. I was so proud of them both – and Max did just fine, luckily, he didn’t get affected at all by the shots.

Later the same day, I took the circus with me over to the dentist – Felix decided he was going to be on his best side that day (lucky me) and proudly walked right into the room, climbed up the chair, mouth open and ready to rumble. We’ve talked a lot about the dentist at home for some time to prepare him for the check and it seems to have worked! The dentist was so sweet and talked him through the whole thing – checking all of his (20!) teeth and he passed with flying colours. He does need to stop using the pacifier though, so sorry Felix, time to pull the plug on “Sutti”.

He’s been without his pacifier this weekend and it’s a little troublesome during bedtime, normally he falls asleep within seconds with it but without, it seems like it’s hard for him to relax his mind. ” – My mattress hurts” and “- I can’t sleep here, the bed doesn’t have my name on it” are some of the excuses for not sleeping, haha!

Along came the real weekend and we got some well deserved coffee and chocolate croissants at Torvehallerne before taking a long walk in Ørsted Park.

We had lunch at Hope Bar, located on Larsbjørnsstræde 7 in the centre of Copenhagen. It’s a plant based café with a sustainable and holistic profile. I had the Beet & Quinoa salad, Andreas had the Vegan burger with sweet potato fries and Felix had the Summer Bowl. It tasted great and reminded us of those delicious and healthy Bali meals. I love that we are finding some nice, new places (at least to us) in our own town, we’ll definitely come back to this one!

On our way home, Felix fell asleep whilst sitting on the Bugaboo click-on seat/sibling board (which btw is the best thing ever!) and slept the whole way home, giving us some time to breathe out a little – two kids isn’t giving us much time to do just that.

Sunday was all about hanging out at home and also meeting our friends little baby girl, Agnes, not even a month old! Max seemed so big in comparison – he’s already grown so much!

Hi! I have a Samsung Nx300, which is an OK everyday camera. Looking to upgrade to a bigger and better one soon:)
